Skunk Remedy for your Dog

It’s spring time and the critters are every where. Has your dog had a run with the local skunk? Can get the skunk smell out of your dog’s coat? Did tomato sauce fail to get rid of the stench?

Here is the best skunk remedy for your dog:

  • 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide
  • 1/4 cup of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of liquid hand soap.

Mix the ingredients and immediately apply to your foul smelling pooch. Then rinse thoroughly with tap water. For a big dog, such as a German Shepherd or Rottweiler, you may need to double the recipe to improve coverage. It is important to keep the mixture out of sensitive areas like the eyes and ears. Also, don’t allow your dog to ingest the mix, because hydrogen peroxide can cause vomiting.
